Kathryn's Girl Scout Gold Award
Doggie Do's and Don'ts
What is the Girl Scout Gold Award?
The Gold Award is the highest achievement a Girl Scout can earn.
According to GS Council, "Gold Award Girl Scouts are the dreamers and the doers who take 'make the world a better place' to the next level. The Girl Scout Gold Award is the mark of the truly remarkable—proof that not only can she make a difference, but that she already has."
A Message from Kathryn, Creator of "Doggie Do's and Don'ts"
This website is a part of my Girl Scout Gold Award Project. The purpose of my website is to educate my audience about dog behavior. I've provided information about canine behavior and body language, and have also provided some activities to help teach kids about this topic. My main audience is kids, and you will learn as to why that is under the "My Program" section of this website. With that being said, I truly believe anyone can benefit from education on this subject, no matter his or her age. No matter what you do or where you go, it is certain that you will encounter a dog at some point in your life. I hope that with the help of this site and through other aspects of my project, you will keep in mind how dogs communicate their emotions. Look for the tell-tale signs on anxiety that I go more detail into under the "Dog Behavior" section.
Thank you for taking a look at my website. I hope you learn something new that you can use in your everyday life. Enjoy!
